Warranty

What Is Warranty?

Castertech ensures that all products it markets are suitable for their intended purpose and free from design, material, manufacturing, and/or construction defects, in accordance with technical specifications, drawings, and manuals.

The warranty applies to products supplied by Castertech that fall within the current Warranty Policy and that present failures or nonconformities impacting the customer, leading them to request compensation under the warranty.

Note: Castertech reserves the right to modify product characteristics and introduce improvements at any time, without the obligation to apply such changes to previously manufactured products.

For more information, please consult the Castertech Warranty Policy through the technical or commercial department.

What Is NOT Covered Under the Factory Warranty?

  • Parts that present complaints during installation tests;
  • Parts damaged inside their original packaging, with no signs of improper handling;
  • Parts incorrectly identified regarding application or technical specification;
  • Parts that cannot be assembled due to dimensional incompatibility or manufacturing failure;
  • Rusted/oxidized parts resulting from improper storage conditions;
  • Altered or tampered parts that have been handled by the end customer or mechanic;
  • Missing components or parts inside factory-sealed packaging.

Warranty Request Process

The end customer or repair shop that believes they are entitled to warranty compensation must contact the distributor responsible for the sale and request a warranty analysis. The distributor will then contact Castertech through the appropriate channels.

Attention: It is essential to provide documentation as required in the current Castertech Warranty Policy.

Warranty Period

Castertech establishes the following warranty periods for the components it markets:

  • OEM Products (installed on new vehicles or equipment): 1 (one) year from the date of the sales invoice, for components assembled by:
    • Vehicle manufacturers;

    • Road equipment manufacturers.
  • Aftermarket (replacement parts): 6 (six) months from the date of the sales invoice, for items sold in the aftermarket.

Sending Parts for Warranty Analysis

  1. Complete the SG Form (Warranty Request):
    • Describe and identify the failure with as much detail as possible.
    • Attach clear photos/videos that properly show the defect.
  2. Mandatory documents to be sent by email:
    • Purchase Invoice from Castertech;
    • Sales Invoice issued to the final customer.
  3. Issue a Warranty Return Invoice:
    • CFOP: 6949 (Shipment for repair – tax-free).
    • Operation description: Warranty Return.
    • Freight: (subject to prior approval).
  4. Email a copy of the Return Invoice:
    • So that a receiving order can be created in Castertech’s system.

Attention: If the part arrives at Castertech without a registered receiving order, the delivery will be refused. The analysis and response period is up to 30 (thirty) business days from the date the part is received by Castertech.
